Make restaurant-style sushi at home with our sushi rollers and sushi making kits. Whether you are rolling your first maki or you are already a sushi fan, the right tools make it easy to shape tight, even rolls and beautiful nigiri.
Bamboo sushi rolling mats
The bamboo mat (makisu) is the traditional tool for rolling sushi. Place a sheet of nori on the mat, spread the rice, add your fillings and roll with gentle pressure. Check each bamboo roller set for the accessories it includes.
Sushi rollers and molds
If you are new to sushi, a sushi roller or mold is the easiest way to get consistent results: fill it with rice and fillings, close it and press out a perfectly shaped roll. Mold kits also let you create different shapes for creative sushi.
Complete sushi making kits
Our sushi making kits bring together several tools in one set, from bamboo and cotton kits to practical plastic kits with multiple molds. Check each product page for the pieces included.
How to make sushi at home
- Cook short-grain rice and season it with rice vinegar, sugar and salt.
- Place a sheet of nori on your mat or roller and spread a thin, even layer of rice.
- Add your fillings, such as salmon, tuna, cucumber or avocado.
- Roll firmly, then slice with a sharp, wet knife.
Serve your rolls on our sushi plates with Japanese chopsticks for the full experience. Sushi making kits are also a fun gift for anyone who loves Japanese food.
