Collection: Noren Curtains

A noren is the traditional Japanese fabric curtain hung in doorways, between rooms and at the entrance of shops and restaurants. Split into panels, it lets you walk through easily while adding privacy, blocking the view into a room and bringing a warm Japanese touch to any space.

Noren curtains for your home or business

Use a noren curtain to divide your kitchen from the living room, to dress up a bedroom or bathroom door, or to give your ramen bar, sushi restaurant or café an authentic Japanese entrance. Our collection includes traditional motifs such as waves, Mount Fuji, cranes and cherry blossoms, as well as modern, minimalist and anime-inspired designs.

Materials and sizes

• Materials: most designs are made in linen or cotton-linen, breathable fabrics that hang naturally.
• Sizes: widths from 65 to 85 cm (25.6" to 33.5") and lengths from 90 to 150 cm (35.4" to 59.1"). Check each product for the available options.
• Hanging: the curtain rod is not included on most designs. Some models offer different hanging options, such as rod pocket or tab top.

How to choose the right size

Measure the width of your doorway and choose a noren that covers it. For length, a shorter noren (90 cm) is ideal for kitchens and shop entrances, while a longer one (120 to 150 cm) gives more privacy between rooms.
